Sisterhood

When asking any Kappa woman what would encapsulate her experiences in the fraternity, her answer would be ‘sisterhood'. Here at Kappa Kappa Gamma, the 146 year-old traditions and secrets tie each sister together, creating a community full of inspiring women ready to contribute their part to the world. This community is a home away from home and is a place where all women are loved and supported by their sisters.

There are various activities which Kappas at CMU partake in, formally and informally. Each year, sisters participate in CMU’s biggest philanthropy event called Greek Sing, allowing sisters to bond together and also connect with other fraternities and sororities along the way. Kappas also host the Sapphire Formal, Mystery Date, and Crush Party where sisters gather with our dates at lively venues and have fun over food and music. Sisters also have a blast with each other when working on Booth during Carnival. But besides these events, you can always find Kappas around Pittsburgh enjoying their time with each other. Sisters love watching the Bachelor on the couch in the living room, journeying to Noodlehead in 9 degree weather for the best Thai food around, staying up late debating whether or not Full House deserved that reboot to create the mess of Fuller House, and walking the longest 10 minute walk ever to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History just to end up ordering Starbucks and going home instead. These are some of the few things which sisters at Kappa Kappa Gamma cherish. The memories that we share within this sisterhood are things that are never forgotten.
